Who We Are
We started trelavinos in 2018 because we saw too many people stressed about finances without clear guidance. Real planning starts with understanding where you are and where you want to go.
Our Beginning
Built From Personal Experience
Back in early 2018, our founder spent months helping a family friend untangle a financial situation that had gotten messy. Not because of reckless spending or bad luck. Just the regular complexity that builds up when you're juggling mortgage decisions, superannuation choices, and trying to save for specific goals all at once.
That experience showed how common this problem is. Most people understand money basics but struggle with the planning part. What order should things happen? When does paying off debt matter more than investing? How do you actually measure progress?
We launched in Wetherill Park with a straightforward approach: break financial planning into clear, sequential steps. No jargon-heavy reports. No assumptions about what people already know. Just practical frameworks that work for actual Australian households dealing with real financial decisions.
What Guides Our Work
These aren't just nice phrases on a wall. They shape how we build tools, write guidance, and structure every conversation.
Plain Language
Financial concepts are complex enough without adding unnecessary terminology. We explain things the way you'd explain them to a smart friend who's never studied finance.
Step By Step
Good planning happens in sequence. You can't build a budget without knowing your income patterns. You can't pick investments without understanding your timeframe. We keep things in order.
Australian Context
Superannuation, HECS debt, negative gearing, franking credits. Australian finances have unique elements that generic advice misses. We focus specifically on what matters here.
The People Behind trelavinos
A small team focused on making financial planning less overwhelming for people managing real household finances across Australia.
Petra Lindqvist
Financial Planning Director
Petra spent twelve years in banking before realising most financial advice was too complicated for people to actually use. She redesigned our planning frameworks to focus on decisions that genuinely matter for Australian households.
Callum Finch
Client Strategy Specialist
Callum joined us in 2020 after working in financial education. He structures our guidance materials and makes sure everything stays grounded in situations people actually face, not theoretical scenarios.
